So I was on the hunt for some unknown and obscure strains this past week and decided to take a trip into Portland, Oregon to see what’s new in the Rose City. While inside one of my favorite local haunts, I came across a new flavor I’d never laid eyes on in the Plush Gorilla Badder from Beehive Extracts in collaboration with Sugarbud, both out of Portland, for $19 USD a gram. To give you a little strain lineage background, Plush Gorilla is an Indica-Dominant Hybrid that crosses Subcool’s Plushberry with Gorilla Glue #4 and the results were said to be flavorful as well as potent. According to the Bud-tender, the Plush Gorilla is a brand new strain, bred locally in the Pacific Northwest. Unfortunately, I scoured the Web and could find nothing about her whatsoever so she must be new.

I decided to use my Toro Glass Bubbler for this session and upon opening the jar to the Plush Gorilla, I was met with nice notes of Caramel Lemon and Pine which had my mouth watering. This was also some beautiful extract that had plenty of terpenes while reminding me of some gooey brown butter. The Plush Gorilla had the perfect consistency that was very simple to work with. I grabbed a healthy-sized glob and as it hit the quartz banger I could instantly taste the sweet Caramel and Pine flavors and was blown away by the full flavor as this Badder only had 6.03% terpenes. It was deep and stayed on the tongue well after exhale. As for the high, I would describe it as a nice head to toe stone that wasn’t too devastating but still hit hard and left me baked after one good dab. I was able to function but I wouldn’t recommend this if you need to be in public as I was pretty warped. I hung out and watched some basketball while eating way too many Funyuns. Be warned as the Plush Gorilla will leave you with some serious munchies. She was also great for pain relief and relaxation.

Overall, I absolutely enjoyed the Plush Gorilla Badder on every level. When it came to her strength and potency this was a wonderful strain that had me fully ripped for a solid two hours. She was able to provide me with the pain relief I desire so for that reason I gave the Plush Gorilla a 9.4/10. In terms of her taste and pungency, this is where the Plush Gorilla Badder shined as she had a delicious flavor profile that I’d describe as Creamy Toffee with a Lemony Pine-Sol finish. This was an extremely unique bouquet that I enjoyed immensely so I gave the Plush Gorilla a score of 9.6/10. At the end of the day, this was as good as any extract for the price. If you see the Plush Gorilla Badder on a shelf near you, do not hesitate as she is a wonderful treat.
