The Forbidden Fruit strain is an indica that is both gorgeous and potent. The MMD shop in Hollywood carries an array of high quality and rare strains, including Forbidden Fruit. I was able to get an eighth of this dank bud for only $30. Forbidden Fruit’s allure includes its deep purple hues and intoxicating berry aroma. This strain needs to be at the top of your indica list; it’s already on ours.

Forbidden Fruit is the mouthwatering cross of Cherry Pie x Tangie. This sumptuous genetic cross expresses a beautiful dense bud structure with deep purple hues, dark green foliage, and wiry orange hairs. The terpene profile is a perfect mixture of Cherry Pie’s musky, sweet cherry undertones and Tangie’s loud tropical flavors. There are also notes of pine, mango, and passionfruit candy. The effects hit hard between the eyes and lay into the body with each hit. Forbidden Fruit’s deep physical relaxation and mental stoniness make it perfect for dulling minor physical discomfort and discarding stress.

My particular brand of this strain was the “Chillin’ With Jef” brand which boasts 12% THC. Aside from this, there’s not much information on the web about this company, where they come from, and how they cultivate their product. Despite the mystery surrounding this particular brand, the Forbidden Fruit strain is something fairly easily replicated for an experienced grower able to bring out the stunning colors of this bud. The royal purple nugs are mostly medium to large sized with a dense and sticky structure. Breaking this bud down releases the delicious berry and citrus aromas. A grinder is recommended for consistency but not necessary to break down Forbidden Fruit. The Forbidden Fruit strain leaves consumers feeling relaxed, euphoric, sleepy, happy, and uplifted. I felt rather focused after consuming this strain as well. I didn’t feel the need to socialize and was quite content being alone after the smoke sesh even though I didn’t smoke alone. I love that this indica isn’t too heavy for me to still accomplish basic tasks. Some of the medical uses for this versatile strain are stress, depression, pain, insomnia, muscle spasms and inflammation. This strain can be useful for athletes with minor injuries or recreational users looking to ease migraines and other issues.

The effects of this strain last about 3-4 hours. During this time, consumers can expect to feel a range of things from hunger to sleepiness. The Forbidden Fruit strain is easily a favorite for us. This bud is strong enough to satisfy the most veteran of smokers while the low THC content makes it great for novice smokers who still haven’t built a tolerance to more potent strains. Although the Forbidden Fruit strain is a bit difficult to come by, Los Angeles MMJ consumers can visit a local MMD shop at any of their four locations to find this fire bud or just use a convenient app like Weedmaps to find the nearest dispensary or delivery service in your area. Be sure to let us know how much you love this strain in the comments below!
