So far this New Year has been kind to me when it comes to quality samples on my dispensary shelves. With so many amazing new strains to choose from, it’s becoming quite difficult to decide on which delicacies to purchase these days. If I’d have to estimate, I’d say I counted at least 25 new flavors on the shelf at my local spot. Thankfully, I was able to focus and find a tasty treat to try in the Star Cream Live Resin from Hush Extracts out of Portland, Oregon for just $15 USD for 1.25g. This extra .25g is a genius marketing ploy, especially seeing as how Hush has been producing some quality products at such an ultra-low price point. Now, I’d love to give you some strain background on this girl but unfortunately, she is so new to the scene and still somewhat of an industry mystery. But from what the Budtender told me, they thought the Star Cream is a new cross from Hotsause Genetics that uses their Indica-Dominant cut of Space Cream, but again I’ve found nothing as of yet to substantiate this claim. However, at $15 for 1.25 grams, I figured I couldn’t go wrong so let’s begin.
I decided to use my Toro Glass Bubbler for this session and as soon as I opened the jar I could smell heavy notes of Diesel and Lemon with a hint of creaminess. The resin itself was more of a Badder consistency but still had enough stickiness that it was very easy to grab a nice sized dab. One my nail hit the quartz banger, it was total blast-off mode as I was feeling it instantly as I began to sweat profusely from the forehead which is always a good sign. Upon exhale, I could taste deep flavors of jet fuel and old school hashish tones that coated my entire palate. The Star Cream was heady and had me faded for a solid two hours and had me borderline couch-locked. This girl is strong and will relieve your pains and put you to bed so be careful with the Star Cream if you catch my drift. I also must warn you that I had some serious munchies as I put down a six-pack of Carne Asada Tacos and could’ve eaten more.
Overall, the Star Cream was a delightful sample especially considering its cost. When it came to her flavor and pungency, the Star Cream had deep flavors of Gas and Lemons with a creamy finish that coated my tongue well after exhale so I gave her a score of 9.1/10. In terms of strength and potency, this is where the Star Cream shined as she provided me with an almost narcotic fade that I kept returning back to so for that reason I gave her a score of 9.3/10. All in all, the Star Cream was a wonderful resin that I would absolutely recommend you grab if you find it in your neck of the woods.
