When it comes to great places on Earth to visit, I have to believe Lake Tahoe is one of them. Along with having an absolutely beautiful landscape, Lake Tahoe is also known for something else, no not skiing, their amazing Kush. The Tahoe Kush has become a staple in the Cannabis Community across the globe. It has won numerous Cannabis Cups and is a favorite of mine. So when I saw the Tahoe Alien Sugar Wax in my local dispensary I had to grab some up, Word on the street has it that the Tahoe Alien is a Hybrid cross of Tahoe Kush and Alien Kush which are two of my all-time favorite strains. Luckily, I was able to find this sample for just $12 USD a gram from Regulator Extracts so I was super excited to give her a go.
Now at first glance, this sample of Tahoe Alien was a bit dark to look at but still had a nice badder-like consistency. Now I wouldn’t call it saucy but it was not brittle at all and very easy to work with. I decided to dab the Tahoe Alien in my Goldstein fritted disc rig and upon opening the jar, I could smell a nice diesel scent with a hint of cherry. I easily grabbed a healthy dab and once I placed it into the quartz banger I was hit with a heavy hit that wasn’t harsh but had me choking. The taste wasn’t as strong as I had hoped but it was very mellow and pleasant. I held the hit in for a few seconds and when I exhaled, I found myself choking a tiny bit and starting to sweat from my forehead. This is usually a good sign that the stuff is fire. Sure enough, it was and I was instantly stoned to the point where I had to sit down for a minute. After a second hit, I was fully blasted and found myself sinking into the couch. This was some strong sugar wax and absolutely helped to take away my back pain as well as sleep. I would absolutely recommend this strain for people looking for help with insomnia and pain relief.
Overall, the Tahoe Alien was a great sugar wax. The high took me back to my days in Lake Tahoe when I was relaxed, chilling and baked to perfection. In terms of her taste and potency, I wasn’t blown away but she had a nice calm diesel flavor I enjoyed so I gave it a score of 8.9/10 especially for the price. In regards to the Tahoe Alien’s strength and potency, this was some dank. Two hits had me heavily stoned for a few good hours so I gave it a score of 9.2/10. In the end, this was a great strain for the price and I would without question, purchase it again.
