I don’t know about you, but I am a huge fan of berries. Strawberries, Blueberries, Marionberries you name it, I’m an adorer. I’m also a big fan of berry strains. On my recent trip to my local dispensary, I found a new berry strain in the Goji Og nug run sugar wax from Regulator Extracts aka Smokey Point Productions out of Washington State. I’ve done a little research and the Goji OG is a Sativa-Dominant hybrid cross of Nepali OG and Snow Lotus. I’m not usually a huge fan of Sativa-dominant strains but occasionally I do prefer them during the day and I find it’s good to switch it up every so often to not destroy my Indica tolerance. At first glance, the Goji OG is beautiful. Almost a see-through golden yellow color, the Goji OG is a straight terpy looking sauce and at a price of just $15USD a gram, I’d be crazy not to try it out.
I decided to dab this in my Toro Glass bubbler and grabbed a fat glob of wax on my nail to get a good measure of her strength. As soon as my nail hit the quartz banger I knew this extract was going to be strong. I was instantly hit with the pungent taste of fruit and gas. I would describe the flavor as apples and diesel with a hint of pine. Upon exhale, I was hit hard and it took me a few seconds to catch my breath. The stone was instant from head to toe and the flavors were very pronounced. I was absolutely blown away by the quality of this wax as it was as good as any live resin I’ve sampled recently. The fade was deep but not to a point that I felt incapacitated. I was chilling and relaxed and had the heavy eyes with an ear to ear smile. My buddy said it was one of the most delicious and impressive cannabis experiences he could recall. He hasn’t smoked for that long but I’ll be honest, this stuff had some legs. I was pleasantly ripped for a good 2 hours and didn’t get much done, unlike most Sativa hybrids. I zoned out to Sportscenter for 2 straight episodes before I came out of the fog to find myself starving. Be warned, this stuff will give you some heavy munchies as was proven by the two Philly cheesesteaks I devoured.
All in all, the Goji OG was an awesome delight. Delicious and potent, it had all the bells and whistles you could ask for in an extract. In terms of strength and potency, I truly enjoyed the Goji OG’s long-lasting fade that kept me baked and totally relieved my back pain so I gave it a 9.3/10. As for the Goji OG’s flavor and pungency, this is where she got my attention. Her flavors of pine and apple left me wanting more so I gave her a score of 9.5/10. She was definitely a strain I will be keeping around in the head stash department as she is unique and does some serious damage. Make sure to check out the Goji OG if you see her on a shelf near you.
