Over the past few weeks, I’ve found myself smoking some delicious new strains. One of the greatest things that legalization has afforded us is an abundance of new exotic flavors on the market thanks to a massive number of amazing breeders putting in the work. On a recent trip to my favorite dispensary in Oregon, I found another new and exciting strain in the Strawberry Urkle from Beehive Extracts out of Portland, Oregon on clearance for $18 USD a gram. The flowers used for this extract were grown by Zeta7 Farms, also out of Portland, Oregon, making this a collaboration I had to sample. To give you a little background on the lineage, Strawberry Urkle is an Indica-Dominant Hybrid that crosses Strawberry Cough with Purple Urkle and the results are said to be delicious as well as mind-numbing.
I decided to go with my Mobius Glass Stereo Matrix bubbler for this session and as soon as I opened the jar on the Strawberry Urkle I was instantly met with heavy notes of Fruit and jet fuel. This live resin was absolutely beautiful to look at as it had a perfect mix of sauce and diamonds that had a gorgeous golden hue to it. Now, the terpene level was a little bit low at 5.16% but sometimes those numbers can be deceiving. As I dug my nail into the Strawberry Urkle resin I was very pleased with the consistency that was simple to work with as I was easily able grabbed a perfect sized dab. Once the glob hit my quartz nail, I could instantly taste a delicious profile I’d describe as grapes soaked in diesel and pine. Upon exhale, I could definitely feel the fade coming on. This wasn’t by any means a narcotic fade but it was solid and had me feeling good. I decided to take a second dab and it did the trick as I was floating for a solid 2 hours. I wasn’t couch-locked but I was relaxed and mellow while still able to function. The Strawberry Urkle live resin was a perfect high for the daytime as I didn’t feel sluggish or tired and was able to get some work done. I also found it to be the perfect strain for relieving my back and neck pain.
In the end, the Strawberry Urkle live resin was a wonderful sample that left me completely satisfied in the end. When it came to her strength and potency, I found the Strawberry Urkle to be nice and heady without being too devastating so I gave it a score of 9.3/10. In terms of her flavor and pungency, the Strawberry Urkle was a delicious mix of berries and gas with a nice hint of pine. I was able to taste her flavors well after exhale so I gave her a score of 9.4/10. At the end of the day, I couldn’t be happier with this sample, especially its price point. If you happen to see the Strawberry Urkle live resin in your neck of the woods, do not hesitate to try her out as you will not be disappointed.
