I consider myself a stand-up comedy nerd. If you love stand-up comedy like me, then you’ve probably already heard of most of these comedians, but if you’re looking for new comedians to watch, this is a list you’ll want to check out. These comedians push the boundaries of what is appropriate to say, but more importantly, they make will make you laugh like no other.

Pack a bowl of your favorite strain, take a couple of puffs, and gather plenty of snacks before you settle in to watch these hilarious comics.

Anthony Jeselnik

Anthony Jeselnik’s deadpanned sarcastic one-liner jokes aren’t for everyone. His expertly crafted jokes use clever turns of phrases to make the audience laugh at the darkest humor possible. Whether you’re smoking indica or sativa, his comedy specials like Shakespeare, Caligula, and Thoughts and Prayers will keep you engaged from start to finish.

It takes some serious comedic chops for him to make the audience laugh at dead baby jokes. Light up a joint, take a puff from your pen or eat an edible a couple hours before you watch his nihilistic-leaning comedy.

“Yesterday I accidentally hit a little kid with my car. It wasn’t serious. Nobody saw me.” – Anthony Jeselnik

Doug Benson

Doug Benson is the poster boy for weed smoking. You may remember him from his spoof movies like Super High Me or his Youtube show, Getting Doug With High, where he smokes with comedians and other famous people while playing weed-related games. He openly embraces the cannabis community and even performs high, which is the mark of a talented comic with a high weed tolerance.

Eat your favorite edibles and cancel all of your plans to go through his plentiful comedy material. His recent specials Doug Dynasty and Lexington, KY offers surreal and absurd jokes delivered in his stoned and collected demeanor.

“I just broke up with my girlfriend and the reason we broke up is I caught her lying. Under another man.” – Doug Benson

Zach Galifianakis

Zach Galifianakis’ comedy special Live at the Purple Onion is a stroke of genius. He’s better known for his comedy talk show, Between Two Ferns, and his iconic Hangover role, but his stand-up catapulted him into stardom. A few puffs will get you in the mood to revel in his musical take on stand-up comedy. He employs piano-playing as a backdrop for his alternative comedy special. It includes sketches, one-liners, and an overall interesting performance art comedy.

“At what age do you think it’s appropriate to tell a highway it’s adopted” – Zach Galifianakis

Mitch Hedberg

If you haven’t noticed, I have a penchant for loving one-liners. Mitch Hedberg is one of the kings of one-liner jokes. He’s subtle, softspoken, but employs incredible wit to craft gut-busting jokes. You’ll want to smoke hit after hit listening to his barrage of comedy gold. Don’t smoke too much because you won’t want to miss a single joke.

“I used to do drugs. I still do, but I used to, too.” – Mitch Hedberg

Eric Andre

Eric Andre’s comedy makes you feel like you’re visiting another planet. If you’re prepared to fall into a rabbit hole of comedy, watch his take on late night talk shows, the Eric Andre Show. It’s a deconstructed talk show where he makes his guests extremely uncomfortable. His stand-up comedy isn’t too far from his talk show vibe. He’s bombastic, surreal, and hilarious.

Stand-up comedy and cannabis go hand in hand. Each can reduce stress and make someone feel better. These stand-up comedians have been known to dabble in cannabis smoking, which can help them see the world in interesting ways. If you love stand-up comedy, check these comedians out to unwind after a workday or during the weekend.
