I’ve been trying to find good extracts for cheap recently in an attempt to save some money. The other day, I found a line of sugar wax from a company called Regulator Extracts (aka Smokey Point Productions), that’s producing high-quality sugar wax for just $12 USD a gram. The other day I decided to sample their Extreme OG. To give you a little background, the Extreme OG is an Indica that was bred by Exotic Genetix by crossing Fire OG and Green Ribbon. I’d heard some positive feedback from some folks in my circle so I said what the heck.
At first glance, I was very happy with the saucy consistency of the Extreme OG sugar wax and its light brown color that reminded me of delicious caramel. When I opened the jar I was met with a mellow pine tone along with the hint of cream. I would almost describe it as earthy vanilla. I decided to use my Toro Glass Bubbler and as I placed my glass nail into the wax I was happy to find it to be a batter-like sauce and very easy to work with. I was able to grab a good-sized glob and once it hit my quartz banger I was very surprised at the hit it provided me. Upon exhale, I could taste the pine and creamy flavors and I was absolutely stoned. I wasn’t baked but I was definitely feeling it. After another dab, I was feeling good. I didn’t find this strain made me couch-locked but it had me relaxed and mellow and seriously helped to relieve my backpains. I would also say this would be a great strain for stress and anxiety as it had me calm for a good couple of hours.
Overall, I found the Extreme OG to be a great sample for the price. I would say this ranks up there with tons of gear I’ve paid double the price for. When it came to her flavor and pungency, I was left with a nice mellow profile that I enjoyed. The taste wasn’t as heavy as I’d like but for the price, I had to give it an 8.8/10. In terms of strength and potency, the Extreme OG had some legs and surprised me with her potency so I gave it a score of 9.3/10. All in all, I am very surprised that I can find this quality wax for only $12 so I would absolutely recommend it if you get a chance to try it out.
